In 2006, I started a home based business. In order to learn how to use the internet as a tool to promote my work, I spent a year active within a few online website development forums. It took a full year to be able and settle in on what the best social media resources were to use in promoting that business and how maintain those various online sites that I created. At that time, I had settled in with blogging, and a social media community forum. Also found that Facebook was a nice way to draw people to both my forum, and my business.
I am still active with one of my online community forums, and also still like to utilize Facebook.

In 2006, I owned a lapidary and jewelry design shop.. After much online study on website development, and best selling venues, one of the tools I started to use was creating an social media community forum. It became the most popular used forum for lapidary and jewelry design on the entire internet with over 500,000 topics and comments spanning over a five year period into 2011. At which time I sold my shop and turned the forum over to someone still active in lapidary and jewelry design.

In 2011 Began to study Chinese art, and a certain niche collectible. With the success of the previous forum, I created, and am still administrator/moderator for a second successful social media community forum.

Up until last month I was working at UPS, but because of the coronavirus, decided to leave..

Now I am looking to learn how to work online from home, and hope this forum may be able to help..

Hi All,

Had to leave UPS last week. They are just not taking even the most basic of precautions during this pandemic.. To risky to stay, and am very disappointed.

As a result I am looking for an opportunity to earn an income online.  Have a bit of past and current experience incorporating social media, like forums, Facebook, etc., into getting people to find my businesses, and or current interests, and in turn make a few dollars.

But after applying at a couple of the Social Media Moderators and Managers companies shared on this forum, realizing that I am not nearly tech savvy enough with current social media technologies.. So not sure where this will go as I try to find a way to earn an online, stay at home income.  Crossing my fingers..

I did apply at a website testing company called UserTesting.. Think I did pretty good on the trial test, but no telling if they will get back. Apparently can take up to three weeks. After a little research, doe not seem like people actually get a lot of work through them.

Any way, lots to browse, so off I go...  Wink
