Work from Home Jobs – Tech Support – Paid Training + Benefits
Are you the person your friends call when they have a tech problem? If so, you may want to have a look at these jobs at Support.com, which include benefits. No geographical hiring restrictions mentioned.
Support.com is a legitimate company that’s been around since 1997. They’ve been hiring work from home tech support employees for quite a few years.

Personal Technology Experts
In this job, after virtual training, you’d be “supplying best in class support to direct consumers on all technology support needs.” Per employee reviews on Glassdoor, the job pays an average of $14.00/hr. with a range of $10-$15. But these rates haven’t been confirmed by Support.com, and aren’t mentioned in the job listing.

Qualifications (Quoting):

— Minimum of 1 year of related experience in customer service dealing with consumers
— Hardware / Software technical support
— Troubleshooting Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10Platforms to the registry level
— Home networks (wired and wireless) using multiple network technologies such as switches, routers, printers, IoT Devices, etc…
— Internet connectivity using cable, DSL, satellite, dial-up
— Consumer/business peripherals — printers, scanners, fax, MP3 players, digital cameras, cellphones, PDAs
— Internet security
— Courses in technology related fields and customer service. MCDST, A+, HDI Support Center Analyst or other relevant certification a plus.

Remote Services Technicians

In this job you’d also be providing tech support to Support.com’s customers via inbound calls.
During virtual training this job pays $9/hr., and $10.25/hr. afterward. Requirements include one year’s experience setting up home networks (or equivalent technical training) and one year of related experience in a customer service environment.
You’ll also need an understanding of wired and wireless home networks, and to type 30-40 wpm. Extra points if you’ve worked from home before.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and an employee stock purchase plan.

Client Services Technicians
In this role you’d also be responding to inbound calls for tech support. You’d be making outbound calls as well to new customers to touch base.
This job pays $11/hr. Paid virtual training, pay rate not mentioned. Requirements include one year’s related experience in a customer service and/or technical support environment. You’ll also need an understanding of wired and wireless home networks.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and an employee stock purchase plan. There’s also a pay differential if you’re bilingual in Spanish.
