#1
Clubhouse builds project management tools that help software product development teams build better products. Clubhouse helps teams plan and manage their projects effectively, visualize progress across the organization, and define deadlines and milestones in a way that is pleasant to use.

Based in a coworking space near Union Square in Manhattan, our team is part on-site, part remote. We use Clubhouse to build Clubhouse, talking with our customers to make sure that we’re building a product that meets customers where they are.

You’re an experienced front-end developer looking for a way to push the boundaries on mobile. Or perhaps you’re an iOS or Android developer who is ready to see what declarative UI can mean for building awesome applications. The Clubhouse iOS app is built with React Native, bridging over to Objective-C and Swift as needed and you’re ready to dive head first into using new, bleeding-edge technologies like Relay and GraphQL.

Responsibilities
  • Work with frontend, backend and customer success teams to design and develop new features in the mobile app
  • Create new UI components and platform-specific experiences that make the Clubhouse app feel familiar for users across platforms
  • Architect services within the mobile app (and across our other systems) to sync and mutate data
  • Debug features and bug reports, write tests to cover bug behavior
  • Pair program with other engineers to work on features or bug fixes or understand other systems
  • Review code with teammates to ensure we’re all headed in the right direction
  • Write documentation for new systems and processes related to development
  • Ship the app to iTunes Connect, TestFlight and the App Store using automated deployment tools
  • Communicate with team on how best to implement new features and shape the future of our product

Skills & Qualifications:

Requirements
  • Experience with Cocoa Touch, UIKit or Android
  • Experience shipping apps to the App Store
  • Experience designing (mobile?) apps that communicate heavily with a REST API
  • Experience with mobile programming languages like Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Kotlin
  • Demonstrated skills in delivering high quality code
  • Independent problem solving skills, working efficiently with teams of two to three, pair programming or working alone
  • Thirst for learning and using bleeding edge technologies, understanding and dealing with bugs along the way
  • Passionate about accessibility, platform standards, and the technologies that bind the two

Nice To Have
  • Experience with Clojure
  • Experience with JavaScript, React, React Native, Relay, or Redux
  • Experience with React at a large scale
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Strong understanding of Flexbox layout
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Passionate about open source and contributing back to the community
