Customer Support Specialist - Flex/Part-time, Work-from-home position

Job Description

Note: Flex/Part-time, Work-from-home position. Scheduled 20 - 30 hours per week, depending on need.

Position Summary: The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for favorably resolving retail and wholesale consumer issues related to purchases and performance of the Company’s products. The Customer Support Specialist processes all customer orders, resolves warranty claims and disputes and manages customer relationships on a daily basis. The position requires a well-rounded, determined, and highly competent individual who strives to reconcile Company goals and client satisfaction.

Core objective: The Gadget Guard Customer Support Specialist is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction and retention by efficiently and courteously satisfying their needs with respect to ordering, shipping, invoicing, claims and adjustments, inquiries, complaints, and related activities.


Position responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers and strive to maintain a high feedback level regarding the Company’s response to customer issues
• Communicate proactively to ensure accurate order fulfillment and prompt response to any questions or concerns
• Ensure all customers are assisted in a friendly, prompt, professional and ethical manner by phone, email and online chat
• Achieve Company goals as mutually agreed upon with Manager


Essential skills and experience:

• Strong internal and external customer service orientation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency of Microsoft products, Amazon, and Point of Sales systems
• Knowledge of cellular markets including carriers, handsets, and accessories

Valued but not required skills and experience:

• Ability to type 60 wpm
• Website content management
• Customer service experience

Work from home flex/part-time requirements:

• Must work training period for up to 60 days onsite
• Must have designated space in-home, free from any distractions while working scheduled and flex shifts. Space must accommodate PC with two external monitors.
• Must be available to work rotating shifts within business hours of 8AM-6PM
• Must be flexible and available to work “flexed”, or additional hours, throughout each week, as business needs demand (cap at 30 hours/week)
• Must be willing to work 1 shift on-site at least every two weeks
• Must be able to maintain performance standards to retain work from home status
• Must have a reliable computer and high a speed internet connection (not supplied by company)
• Company will provide additional equipment, as necessary
